11 more die of starvation in Gaza in past 24 hours

Deaths from hunger in Gaza rise to 251 as the ongoing blockade and attacks deepen the humanitarian crisis, with children accounting for over one hundred of the fatalities since October 2023

The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen as the Health Ministry reported that 11 more people have died from starvation in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of hunger-related deaths to 251. Authorities revealed that since October 2, 2023, 108 of those who died from malnutrition have been children. The ongoing blockade and military operations by Israel have left residents in increasingly dire conditions, with shortages of food, shelter, water, and medical supplies becoming more severe by the day.

Hospitals across Gaza are struggling to function amid a critical lack of medical equipment and medications. The number of children and adults fighting for survival is growing, as malnutrition and disease spread rapidly through crowded shelters and damaged neighborhoods. International aid organizations are warning that a million women and girls in Gaza are now at risk of widespread starvation, urging all parties to take immediate action to prevent further loss of life.

The blockade-induced famine is making daily life in Gaza nearly impossible for civilians. Civil defense officials report that many deceased and injured individuals remain trapped under rubble in areas like Zeytun, complicating efforts to provide timely rescue and assistance. The United Nations and human rights groups are calling for urgent intervention to address the escalating humanitarian emergency and ensure aid reaches those in need.
