Belgian police in Antwerp are seeking public assistance after a man allegedly harassed several women on tram line 5 between Ten Eekhovelei and Meir on May 14. The incident took place around midday, and authorities have released surveillance images in hopes that someone will recognize the suspect. He is described as being between 25 and 26 years old, with dark complexion and short dark hair, and was wearing all black clothing, including work shoes, a backpack, and a cap.
Investigators have carefully reviewed security camera footage from the tram, as well as statements from the victims, to piece together the events and attempt to identify the individual responsible. The police emphasized that the man specifically targeted multiple women during the journey, prompting a serious response from law enforcement concerned about public safety on the city’s transportation system.
