About Aktif TV

Aktif TV was established in 2017 in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, and continues its broadcasting life under the umbrella of Aktif Media. Embracing an innovative approach in the media sector, Aktif TV has also adopted the preservation and promotion of cultural values as a fundamental broadcasting principle. In this direction, it develops special projects especially for our citizens living abroad, aiming to ensure that they do not forget their cultural identities, languages, and traditions. These projects cover a wide range of activities, from promoting culture and learning local languages to organizing traditional events and facilitating intergenerational cultural transmission.

The mission of Aktif TV is not limited to cultural heritage alone. It also stands out with its broadcasting policies focused on humanitarian aid efforts, social solidarity, and social justice. In this context, supporting social responsibility projects, preparing documentaries centered on specific social issues, and broadcasting content that raises awareness on human rights are among its main priorities. Through its programs, Aktif TV aims to raise awareness among its viewers about equality, justice, and sensitivity to human rights.

Aktif TV has aimed to reach a wide audience, especially among our citizens living in Europe, as well as other ethnically diverse communities. Its broadcasting area extends from Bulgaria in the east to Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and Germany in the west. Different communities living in these countries regard Aktif TV as an important source for maintaining cultural ties and following current developments. The increasing interest from viewers day by day enables Aktif TV to serve as a cultural bridge for citizens and immigrant communities living in Europe.

Realizing that traditional broadcasting has lost its effectiveness in the digital age, Aktif TV turned this situation into a strategic opportunity. Increasing its investments in digital media and mobile platforms, the organization fully digitalized its broadcasting format in early 2024, following a test period of approximately nine months. In this way, it has moved beyond traditional broadcasting by implementing a model that is mobile-friendly and accessible anytime, anywhere. This transformation has attracted great interest from viewers, and through social media channels, the reach of Aktif TV has rapidly expanded.

Aktif TV currently broadcasts in four languages: Turkish, Flemish, French, and English. Thanks to its multicultural and multilingual broadcasting policy, it appeals to different language and cultural groups in Europe, particularly in Belgium. In addition, test broadcasts in German, Kurdish, Bulgarian, and Arabic are ongoing. With the inclusion of these new languages, the influence of Aktif TV will expand further, making it a more inclusive media platform for various communities.

Aktif TV is more than just a media outlet; it is a platform that keeps the cultural memory of immigrant communities in Europe alive, acts with a sense of social responsibility, and adapts to the requirements of the digital age. It continues on its path as a strong actor in promoting cultures, fostering sensitivity to universal values, and contributing to the creation of more conscious societies.
